An easy and well marked hike that starts on Upper Kavli and follows the ridge up to Storaksla over Kavlisetra. Great vantage point towards the fjord and surrounding mountains in Isfjorden.
The trip starts from Hellerøra, which is located about 500m after the entrance of the toll road at Øvre Kavli. Park at Hellerøra 100m past the power line. Follow the path to the right in the direction of Litleaksla. The trail goes uphill with a slightly steeper section before the top of Litleaksla. Follow the back, past a hut and across the marsh. Keep to the right of the cabin at the other end of the marsh and up continue up the track behind. There is a short steep final section up to Storaksla. Alternative route : Drive to Øvre Kavli then continue to Heiaveien which is a parking area about 4kms further up the toll road. From the parking area follow the path to the huts. Then follow the marked path across the river which is on your righthand side. This is a shorter and easier way to the summit.
