A lovely walk for the whole family where you can relax around a campfire or with a fishing rod in your hand, or row out on the lake.
Follow the E 136 road from Åndalsnes towards Ålesund. After 11 km, you turn off in Innfjorden towards Bøstølen. Drive a further 7 km and turn right at the signpost for Bøstølen. The road passes a power station and continues up to the barrier. You have to pay by card. Follow the toll road to Herdslan and past Berillvatnet lake and Berillstølen summer pasture farm. At the crossroads by the bridge, turn right across the river to Bøstølen. Drive through the grazing land at Bøstølen to the car park at Røsta.
From the car park, follow the gravel road up to the first bridge and turn right after the bridge. There is a well-marked trail from here all the way to Litlevatnet lake.
The path is well-trodden with only gentle inclines. This makes it a lovely family walk that is suitable for everyone. Reaching Litlevatnet lake is also a delight. A pleasant picnic spot has been built by volunteers, and there is a boat and canoe that everyone can use. A small wharf has also been built to make it easy to board the boat. Fishing licences can be purchased.
