Litlefjellet

Family walk to Litlefjellet – the best view of Trollveggen cliff

Google maps road directions: here

Follow the Fv 64 road from Åndalsnes towards Molde. Turn right after 5 km and follow the signs to Liabygda and the Venjesdalen valley. Follow the toll road up Venjesdalen and drive on past Venjesdalssetra summer pasture farm and on towards Romsdalshornet. Park by the large rock with a sign to Litlefjellet, around 1 km after Venjesdalsvatnet lake.

Follow the path that winds its way up the mountainside. Look for waymarks. Light climbing in some parts. At the top, you are rewarded with magnificent views of the mountains Trollveggen, Romsdalshornet, Store Venjetinden and Romsdalseggen, and Romsdalen and Åndalsnes. The walk takes a fit child half an hour. There are several nice tarns at the top.

Spending the night at Litlefjellet and getting up to watch the sunrise on the Trollveggen cliff makes for a fantastic experience.
