A well-marked path takes you to a sparkling gem at the foot of Bispen. The most daring walkers can take a dip between the ice floes in Bispevatnet lake.
Follow the Fv 63 road from Åndalsnes towards the Trollstigen road. Park 800 metres after the Trollstigen visitor centre at Strupen.
From the road, walk up the ridge until it levels out and you come to a small tarn.
Turn right around a crag, and then follow the trail up along the cairns. This is a nice and easy walk. The path turns right after the crag across some smooth, bare rock and then up through a scree. Keep right up another ridge, and then turn right below the next big scree. The path then ascends the ridge, veering gently to the right.
The path continues up the hillside and slopes towards the river from Bispevatnet lake, where there is a bridge. Cross the bridge and find a nice picnic spot where you can sit and admire the mountains Bispen, Kongen and Finnan.
Bispen, Kongen and Dronninga were all climbed in 1882 by Mathias Soggemoen, Erik Norahagen and Carl Hall.
